What we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Who we are

My Way Collective FZE, trading as My Way Electrolytes, Al Shmookh Business Center, One UAQ, UAQ Free Trade Zone, Umm Al Quwain, United Arab Emirates (registration number 11182), is responsible for your personal information. Contact us at hello@mywayelectrolytes.com.

What we collect

  • When you order: your name, email, phone number, delivery and billing address, and what you bought.
  • Payment: handled by our payment providers (Stripe and PayPal). We don’t see or store your full card number.
  • When you contact us or join our list: your email address and anything you send us.
  • Abandoned checkouts: if you start checkout and don’t finish, we may email you a reminder.
  • Referrals and ambassadors: if you arrive through an ambassador link, we record that so they can be credited.
  • Site usage: your device, browser, approximate location and the pages you view, collected through cookies and analytics tools.

Ambassadors

If you join our ambassador program, we also collect what you send us to run the program and build your ambassador page: your name, photo, bio, town or country, sport, social media handle, favourite flavours, a delivery address and phone number if you receive free products, and your month and year of birth. On your public page we show your name, photo, bio, town or country, sport, age and social links. We never show your birthday or your address. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must approve in writing first. You can ask us at any time to change or remove your page.

How we use it

  • To take, ship and support your order, including emails about it.
  • To answer your questions and handle refunds.
  • To send you news and offers, only where you’ve asked for them or the law allows it. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it.

If you are in the EU or UK, we rely on these legal bases: to carry out your order (contract); to meet legal duties such as tax records; our legitimate interests in running and securing the shop, preventing fraud and improving the site; and your consent for marketing emails and non-essential cookies, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who we share it with

We share only what’s needed, with: our payment providers; our fulfilment partner and couriers, so they can deliver your order; our email services (Microsoft 365 and Amazon Web Services); analytics and advertising tools such as Google; and our website host. We don’t sell your personal information.

Sending your information abroad

We sell to customers in many countries, and our partners are in several of them, so your information may be processed outside your own country. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses put in place by our service providers.

Cookies

We use cookies to make the site work, to understand how it is used, and to measure our marketing. When you first visit, a banner lets you choose which kinds to allow, and you can change your mind at any time. Cookies that are strictly necessary, for example to keep your cart, are always on.

How long we keep it

  • Order and payment records: 7 years, for accounting and tax.
  • Customer support emails: 2 years.
  • Our mailing list: until you unsubscribe.
  • Ambassador information: while you are an ambassador and for 12 months after.
  • Anything else: only as long as we need it for the reasons above.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to or limit how we use it, take a copy of it, and withdraw consent you gave. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. To use any of these rights, email us at the address above and we’ll respond as soon as we can.

Children

Our products and shop are for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, except ambassadors under 18 who join with a parent or guardian’s written approval, as described above.

Keeping it safe

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
