Meet John Lloyd Casano

I'm John Lloyd Casano, a surfer from Lanuza, Surigao del Sur. I've surfed for 13 years, longboard and shortboard, but I'm mostly on the longboard now. I moved to Siargao for a new experience and to train in the waves. I'm thankful I get to travel and compete, and to win, including the Men's Open Longboard at the Lanuza Surfing Festival 2025 and Pabaslaw sa Hinatuan 2026. I want to see the world, find new surf spots and keep winning. Honestly, I'm already living my dream.

Doing it their way

Coffee, surf, eat, sleep, repeat. That's pretty much my week.
I don't stress about finding the biggest swell. I'd rather go out on my longboard and have fun, even when the conditions aren't perfect.
I like to start my day with an electrolyte drink before I head out.
